Applications rise at most local universities, except Chicago and DePaul

Applications to Chicago’s major universities increased for the upcoming academic year, with Northwestern University setting a record. But there were two exceptions: the University of Chicago and DePaul University. Illinois universities get $2.8M for nuclear study

Three Illinois universities are getting $2.8 million in federal research grants, scholarships and fellowships to train future leaders in the nuclear industry. The U.S. Department of Energy announced today that the money would go to the Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University and the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
