Scottish universities tuition fees income up by 9%

Rankings show Scotland’s universities under pressure from Asian institutions

Glasgow University applications up by 11%

Applications for undergraduate courses at Glasgow University this year are up 11% on the same period in 2011. Figures from the admissions service (Ucas) show this was the largest rise among the 20-strong Russell Group of elite UK universities.
