NANCHANG, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) – The previous president of a key college in east China’s Jiangxi Province stood trial on Tuesday for pay off and theft of open trusts, as per a nearby court.
Zhou Wenbin, 54, is blamed for tolerating rewards worth more than 22 million yuan (3.6 million U.S. dollars) while serving as president of East China Institute of Technology and Nanchang University, as indicated by the Nanchang Municipal Intermediate People’s Court.
Zhou is additionally blamed for stealing 58.75 million yuan openly finances from Nanchang University for others.
Zhou has been in criminal confinement since Sept. 26 of a year ago.
In 2002, Zhou got to be president of Nanchang University, the top college in the territory, which has more than 80,000 understudies.
