More than 1,000 individuals are graduating with degrees and other advanced education capabilities from the University of Cumbria this week.

Today is the begin of three days of festival with eight graduation services altogether occurring at Carlisle Cathedral.

Three occur today, an alternate three tomorrow and two last ones on Friday.

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, is presenting the degrees and recompenses upon the effective understudies in his part as chancellor of the University of Cumbria.
