Iceland’s Foreign Minister Visits UN University

Icelandic Minister for Foreign Affairs Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson went to the United Nations University (UNU) head office in Tokyo yesterday. He met with Rector of UNU David Malone and talked about the college’s operations.

At the event, another five-year concurrence on the Geothermal Training Program of the UNU, which is situated in Iceland, was agreed upon. Three other UNU preparing progras are situated in Iceland: the Land Restoration Training Program, the Fisheries Training Program and the Gender Equality Studies and Training Program.

The minister additionally met with understudies at the UNU, gave a location on Iceland and reacted to their inquiries. He talked about different components about the advancement of Icelandic culture up until present day and particularly talked about environmental change and manageable quality.
