The Mumbai University on Tuesday issued rules for the Ph.d. passage test (PET), delineating new standards that have been executed in the not so distant future forward. According to the new standards, Ph.d. hopefuls seeking after a Masters’ degree will likewise be qualified for the PET from one year from now.
A round issued by Dinesh Bhonde, Controller of Examinations (Coe), Mumbai University, said that the application procedure was the same as earlier years, the main contrast being wannabes would have the capacity to apply online for the PET. “From in the not so distant future, understudies seeking after a Masters’ degree and in the fourth semester of the CBGS example or second year of the old course will have the capacity to apply online for the PET,” said Mr Bhonde.
He said that as PET was required for those needing to seek after a Ph.d. furthermore as it was being held toward the end of the year, understudies in the last semester of their Masters’ degree were being allowed to request the PET. Notwithstanding, Mr Bhonde was fast to include that understudies fruitful in the PET would be qualified to attempt a Ph.d. just if their scores in the finals were 55 for every penny for the open classification and 50 for every penny for the held class.
“The PET will be led according to the subjects recorded in the PET annexure. The syllabus for PET in a given subject will be the different points in the Compulsory/Core subjects/papers for the Post Graduate Degree Level Program of the University of Mumbai for that subject,” Mr Bhonde included.
The PET will be hung on November 8 and wannabes can seek the same till October 28.
