Maharashtra University contribute Rs 61.78 lakh for J&K

MUMBAI: Vice-chancellors of Pune, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and Nanded Universities met Maharashtra representative and chancellor of Universities in the state Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday and exhibited separate checks collecting Rs 61.78 lakh tended to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the recovery of persons influenced by the surges in Jammu and Kashmir. The Governor respected the signal of the Universities and sent the checks to the Prime Minister’s office.

While Dr Wasudeo Gade, bad habit chancellor, Savitribai Phule University of Pune displayed a check of Rs 30 lakh for the PM’s Relief Fund, Dr B A Chopade, bad habit chancellor, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University gave a check of Rs 15 lakh. The bad habit chancellor of Shivaji University, Kolhapur Prof Dr N J Pawar gave a check of Rs 10 lakh for the PM’s Relief Fund, while the bad habit chancellor of the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Dr Pandit Vidyasagar gave an aggregate of Rs 6.78 lakh as commitment of the University’s staff towards the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

Mumbai University (Rs 25 lakh) and the SNDT University (Rs 10 lakh) have effectively helped the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the recovery of persons influenced by the surges in Jammu and Kashmir.
