NEW DELHI: The Center has asked Delhi University (DU) to submit a definite reaction to assertions of irregularities in its working made by the varsity’s educators’ body.
Taking cognisance of a ‘white paper’ discharged by the Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) claiming monetary and authoritative irregularities in the varsity’s working, the HRD Ministry has controlled DU to submit a point-by-point clarification on each one issue brought up in it.
“I am coordinated to allude to the grievance got from DUTA against the Vice Chancellor with respect to claimed irregularities and irregularities in the working of the college.
“It is asked for that para-wise remarks on each one issue may be sent at the soonest,” senior Human Resource Development Ministry official PK Saha has said in the authority correspondence to DU.
DU powers affirmed that the correspondence has been gotten and included that, “the college will send its answer soon”. DUTA had recently discharged the ‘white paper’ charging irregularities and infringement of the Delhi University Act by its Vice Chancellor, Dinesh Singh.
The white paper was sent to the varsity’s Visitor, which is the President of India Pranab Mukherjee, and advanced for a Visitorial Enquiry into all the charges, pending which, they requested that the Vice Chancellor must be expelled from office.
