International Junior Achievement Students Arriving for Leadership Conference

High school students to compete in week-long case competition

Wednesday, August 13, 2014, Peterborough

Trent University and Junior Achievement of Canada are proud to welcome student delegates from around the world for the Next Generation Leadership (NGL) Forum. The week-long leadership development forum will be hosted by the Peterborough, Lakeland, and Muskoka Junior Achievement office at Trent’s Symons Campus.

The NGL Forum is designed to help students build their leadership, creativity, team work and business skills as they solve a real-life business challenge, in collaboration with their global peers, University faculty and business leaders.

Participating students have been selected and sponsored by Junior Achievement offices from around the globe.  Students will spend the week in small groups, participating in a variety of workshops and activities hosted by business leaders and faculty members from Trent University’s Business Administration and Masters in Sustainability Studies programs.

Trent was announced as the host for the 2014 and 2015 Next Generation Leadership Forums last October after competing nationally for the opportunity.

Media are encouraged to attend Forum events throughout the week for a variety of interview and photo opportunities. The full Forum schedule is available on request.
