This Friday and Saturday three bricklaying Worldskills contenders, their executive (from Mackay) and industry reps (from Hervey Bay and Rockhampton) will unite on Rockhampton to practice for the expected national Worldskills rivalry.
Subside Carr, a bricklaying instructor, local convenor, and National Worldskills judge, will lead this preparation which will set up these tradies for the national occasion in September.
Venue: The preparation will be at the Cquniversity Rockhampton, City, Canning St, P Block (which is the corner of Canning St and Denham Street).
Foundation: Regional rivalries were directed in 2013 and the gold award champs now have the chance to contend at the national occasion. The contenders are nearby tradies who now have the chance to showcase their aptitudes and win gold at the national occasion and may have the chance to contend at the global occasion in 2015.
