The African University College of Communication (AUCC) has held its 4th matriculation to officially usher students into the academic institution.
The ceremony for the 2014 January intake ushered in 220 students in which 140 students gained admission to study Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies whilst 80 students are to study Business Administration.
Professor Kwaku Armah, Acting President of AUCC, said the institution trains students to develop their skills to be able to solve problems.
He appealed to the new students to make good use of the opportunities offered by the school.
Professor Kofi Asare Opoku, a Member of the AUCC Governing Council, described students as young organisms who needed a good foundation for their growth and maturation.
He said the institution attached great importance to the needs of students so they could grow into matured, resourceful and productive adults.
Professor Kofi Asare Opoku said the swearing of the oath by students will enable them observe the rules and regulations of the University, obey and respect authority, study diligently, seek the truth at all times, maintain good manners and promote the good of the University. (GNA)
