The American International School of Budapest, the first school in Central and Eastern Europe to offer the International Baccalaureate, has been providing this academically challenging educational program since 1995.
The program, taken either as a full diploma or as individual subject certificates, prepares students for success at university and life beyond. It is recognised and respected by the world’s leading universities.
AISB provides a supportive environment where students are prepared for effective participation in a rapidly evolving and increasingly global society. We provide learning supports that enable our students to achieve to their highest potential: English Language instruction, Learning Resource and IB Skills classes.
We are proud of our students’ achievements: in the last four years the average number of IB courses completed by our students has increased. In 2013, the average 12th grader was enrolled in an average of six out of a possible seven IB classes. Over the past three years our 92% average pass rate has been far above the 79% world average in May 2013.
This high level of academic preparation allows our AISB graduates to be accepted at prestigious universities around the world.
