The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a new president for Brigham Young University.
Kevin J. Worthen, the former dean of the J. Reuben Clark Law School and current advancement Vice President of Brigham Young University, will become the president of the college on May 1.
President Henry B. Eyring part of the First Presidency for the LDS Church announced the change at a school devotional. The church thanked the long-time school president Dr. Cecil O. Samuelson, who served eleven years as president of BYU.
Worthen earned his undergraduate degree and law degree from Brigham Young University. He says he spent more then half his life learning and working for the university.
