University of the Sunshine Coast offers scholarship for pursuing PhD or Master by Research in the areas of exercise physiology and cardiovascular disease. Applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate English proficiency (e.g. minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each no subtest). Domestic and international students can apply for this scholarship.
About Scholarship: This scholarship provides an opportunity to undertake a PhD or Master by Research in the areas of exercise physiology and cardiovascular disease. The research program will investigate the relationship between exercises, blood flow and muscle capillary growth in patients with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and/or Abdominal Aortic Anuerysm (AAA). This is a unique opportunity that will provide experience and training in clinical and laboratory based research methods.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
-Hold a Bachelor degree with honours class II Division I, or have an equivalent level of attainment via previous study, work experience, research publications, referee’s reports and other research experience; and
-Applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate English proficiency (e.g. minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each no subtest)
-Recipients must maintain satisfactory progress as a full-time candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Duration: three years
Value: The scholarship will provide Stipend (living allowance) A$24, 653 per annum tax free for three years (2013full-time rate); and
-Tuition fees for the standard duration of the PhD program (three years);
-Standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy (international student)
