2013 Economics Master’s Degree Part-Fee Bursaries, University of Leicester, UK

Department of Economics at University of Leicester is offering five part-fee bursaries for September 2013 entry. Bursaries are open for UK/EU applicants for pursuing full time master’s degree programmes. Selection criteria for Master’s Bursaries are quality of application. Applicants must have upper second class honors degree economic, business or accounting analysis and some mathematical or statistical content.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the Department’s academic and English language entry requirements. Students wishing to apply for one of our courses should meet the following entry requirements:

•MSc Economics: An upper second class (2:1) honors degree or equivalent from a recognized university with substantial quantitative analysis and economics.

•MSc Financial Economics: An upper second class (2:1) honors degree or equivalent from a recognized university with economic, business or accounting analysis and some mathematical or statistical content.

•MSc Banking & Finance/MSc Business Analysis & Finance/MSc Money & Banking: An upper second class (2:1) honors degree or equivalent from a recognized university with some quantitative methods; economics or finance courses. 

Scholarship Open for: UK/EU Countries (Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia (Slovak Republic), Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Vatican City) applicants are eligible for this master’s scholarship.

Number of awards: The Department of Economics is pleased to offer five part-fee bursaries for September 2013 entry. 

Value: The bursaries are open to new UK/EU applicants and are payable as a 25% discount on the course fee.

Selection Criteria: The bursaries will be awarded on the basis of the quality of the application – not financial need. 

Notification: Successful applicants will be notified during July 2013.
