Undergraduate research took center stage at the University of Wisconsin-Superior with multiple events to celebrate student success in research and creative activity.

Students, staff, and faculty at the UWS gathered in Superior and Madison to showcase student success in research and creative activity. The day marked the university’s second annual Celebration of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity on campus.

In addition, students from UWS joined student researchers from across the UW System for the 10th annual Posters in the Rotunda event held at the Capitol in Madison.

Down in southern Wisconsin, nearly 150 University of Wisconsin System undergraduate students and their faculty advisers filled the Capitol Rotunda in Madison for the annual Posters in the Rotunda event. Eleven students from UWS shared their research findings with legislators, state leaders, UW alumni and other supporters.

Studies show that undergraduate research leads to better job readiness, encompassing a broad range of student talents, interests and skills across academic disciplines. Additionally, participation in undergraduate research contributes to improved student retention and graduate rates.
