25 new students from foreign countries arrived to Klaipėda University. They represent international Erasmus programme. This term students from Belgium, Turkey, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Italy are going to start their studies in it.
Klaipėda University offers high quality studies for Lithuanian young people and students from foreign countries. Foreigners choose studies in Klaipėda University, thinking about their own future and linking them to prospective profession. They are attracted by its oneness, quality of studies, a good geographical location and inexpensive living.
Fernando Pesini Martin, a third year student from Spain says that he has chosen Klaipėda University because of attractive place. Juan Antonio Guerra Benitez, another Spanish student has chosen studies in business and management and Klaipėda University appears to be his first choice. According to Juan Antonio, a relatively inexpensive living in Lithuania also made influence on his choice.
Kubra Yesiltepe, athird year student of mathematics from Turkey hopes to meet as many new people as it is possible: „My friends, who recently came back to Istanbul from Klaipėda, told me to choose this university. They liked local people, the city itself, their leisure time and studies. I believe to make no mistake“, – the girl gives reasons for her choice.
Tamara Zaldivar Fernandez-Trujillo, another Spanish student has chosen business studies: „I must say that at first glance Lithuanians are bleak, composed, very often even gloomy, however, when you chum up with them, above impression change“, – says Tamara.
Foreign students are about to settle down in Klaipėda and very often they “nibble at” disciplines that are lectured in Lithuanian. They also meet new people. They have already tasted cepelinai, local beer, bars and attractive Lithuanian girls.
Internationally recognized lecturers, speaking fluent English and Russian, give lecturers to foreign students of Klaipėda University.
