Visit more than 125 colleges or universities in one night

Rock Valley College

Rock Valley College (RVC) will host its annual College Night from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the RVC Physical Education Center (PEC). College Night is open to people of all ages and affords prospective students the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 125 colleges, universities, vocational and technical schools.

In addition to hosting college representatives, Rock Valley College will be presenting information sessions about financial aid. Tours of the Rock Valley College campus will also be available, and Rock Valley’s Financial Aid staff will help you better understand your financial options for attending college.

RVC Academic Advising staff will also be available to help students explore colleges through Career Cruising, an industry-leading online career guidance and planning system that helps students find colleges that offer their majors to narrow their search process.

College Night is open not only to high school students but also to parents of prospective students, current college students who are looking to transfer, and adults looking to return to school. There is something for everyone at College Night.

There is no admission charge to attend. Prospective students are encouraged to bring their families. The RVC Physical Education Center is on the RVC main campus at 3301 N. Mulford Road in Rockford.

Colleges from all over the United States, from California to Maine, will be represented at this year’s event, including: Bradley University, Columbia College, DePaul University, Eastern Illinois University, Illinois State University, Iowa State University, Marquette University, Michigan State University, Northern Illinois University, Purdue University, Rockford College, Seton Hall University, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, St. Anthony College of Nursing, University of California-Davis, University of Cincinnati, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Iowa, University of Maine, University of Michigan, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and University of Notre Dame.
