The ClevrU e-teaching market place is designed to provide over 1 billion global students access to Canada’s finest education resources. This additional revenue will support Canadian institutions with a sustainable business model that encourages our universities and colleges to reinvest and grow.
ClevrU supports the direction of the 122-page report titled International Education, a Key Driver of Canada’s Future Prosperity released Tuesday that recommends Canada increase the number of international students from 239,130 to 450,000 in 10 years. Canada must invest in attracting international students to fuel innovation and drive economic prosperity.
The Advisory Panel, chaired by Dr. Amit Chakma President and Vice Chancellor Western University, published International Education: A Key Driver of Canada’s Future Prosperity and stated, “Canada’s quality education offerings can no longer be a well kept secret. Canada is the place to be for top talent.”1
Dana Fox President and CEO of ClevrU Corporation said, “The ClevrU e-teaching market place is designed to provide over 1 billion global students access to Canada’s finest education resources. This additional revenue will provide Canadian institutions with a sustainable business model that encourages our universities and colleges to reinvest and grow. Fox went on to say that, “ClevrU’s online marketplace provides a unique Canadian global marketing opportunity for every university and college in Canada that wants to increase it’s international student revenue. Clevru will introduce Canada’s education brand to over 40 million Chinese students every day.”
The task force recommended creating 50,000 opportunities per year for Canadian students to go abroad for study and cultural exchanges. ClevrU technology makes it possible to share this opportunity with every student in Canada by working with teachers and students online to create international relationships.
Witnessed by Prime Minister Harper in Beijing February 2012, ClevrU signed an MOU with China Unicom and China Telecom, two of China’s carriers with over 360 million subscribers and RenRen in May 2012 with over 200 million subscribers. ClevrU is following up China with countries like India and Brazil that collectively have over 1 billion students looking for an education.
