Discover more than one ‘good book’ at the NMIT Chapel

The NMIT Bachelor of Writing and Publishing Guest Speaker Series is on again at the NMIT Fairfield campus Chapel. The Speaker Series kicks off on 31 July and is open to NMIT staff and students as well as the general public. Get the word on what’s happening and what works in the worlds of general fiction, advertising and digital media from authors, script writers, publishers, game writers, poets, editors and creative professionals.

The sessions are free and invaluable for anyone seeking to develop their writing and publishing skills.

Sessions scheduled for Semester 2 include:

31 July – Sarah Billington, writer and publisher

15 August – Peter Bakowski, poet

21 August – Paul Callaghan, games writer

5 September – Dom Megna and Rogan Briggs, creative directors of Clemenger Harvie

17 September – Zoe Dattner, Sleepers Publishing

25 September – Rebecca Starford, editor of Kill Your Darlings

8 October – Rod Sanders, script writer

The NMIT Chapel is set in the picturesque grounds of NMIT Fairfield and visitors to the Guest Speaker Series can also enjoy a relaxing coffee at the Nursery Cafe while watching the local wildlife including the exotic peacocks that casually roam the campus. You can also pick up some great deals on plants at the nursery.
