“As of 9 a.m. July 11, 2012, the applicants have filed 551.209 applications to the higher education institutions of Ukraine. The total number of persons who have participated in the admission campaign is 227.027,” the statement says.
As the Ministry department head Mykola Fomenko said, the number of students using the system for electronic filing of applications is growing daily. Thus, 85.349 application have been sent in electronic mode. The number of students benefiting from the system is 36.534.
Fomenko also added that the most active during the admission campaign are the applicants from Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Odessa, Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions.
“These figures testify to the fact the admission campaign is going on actively. Almost half of high school graduates have already applied for admission. Despite such activity of the students, the workflow of admissions is consistent and smooth,” Fomenko summed up.
The admission campaign to higher educational institutions of Ukraine this year is held within July 2-31.
