Two of Coventry University’s Masters degree programmes have been ranked in the world’s top 20 postgraduate courses in sport by a leading industry title. The University’s MBA in International Sport Management, delivered by Coventry Business School, achieved fourth place in SportBusiness International (SBI) magazine’s league table.
Published in the May edition, the SBI Postgraduate Sports Course Ranking 2012 is the first-ever authoritative assessment of teaching in the sector of postgraduate education catering for the business of sport.
The survey looked at the quality of teaching, graduate support in finding a career in the sports industry and extracurricular support. The survey also explored how successfully the graduates found work after completing the course. The International Sport Management MBA is a specialist programme designed for individuals seeking a career or career advancement in the rapidly expanding sports industry.
Coventry University’s MSc in Sport Business Management also appears in 14th place, making it the only university to appear twice in the in the top 20 rankings and puts it ahead of all the UK universities listed. Dr Benoit Senaux, director of these programmes at Coventry University, said:
