The Royal Agricultural College is pleased to announce the launch of the new, privately funded One-Year Farming Course. It is an intensive, practical programme of study, designed to equip the prospective landowner, farmer or manager with the basic knowledge required for running contemporary farm enterprises.
The course covers all key aspects of modern farming practices from animal husbandry to estate management and aims to expand students’ understanding of some of the current challenges facing the agricultural industry, such as the food supply chain, traceability and sustainability.
As a tailor-made skills-based course, the One Year Farming Course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to hone their practical skills, both on the College farms and at the RAC’s Rural Skills Centre through selected professional training courses.
The College has educated those who have become leaders in the agricultural industry for almost 170 years and has continued to provide agriculture as a vocational subject. It takes pride in being a centre of excellence for teaching in the land-based sector.
