Public sector universities to form Inter University consortium

 Islamabad: Five public sector  universities have agreed to form first  ever inter-University Consortium for  promotion of social sciences, arts and  humanities activities.

The formal Memorandum of  Understanding (MoU) sighing  ceremony will be held on January 23, at  Islamic University Bahawalpur.

Executive Director, Higher Education  Commission Pakistan Prof. Dr. S Sohail  H. Naqvi would be chief gust. The  Ceremony would be attended by Vice  Chancellors, HEC officials, facility  members and representatives of civil  society and chamber of commerce.

The five higher education institutions  which are going to join the consortium include university of Gujrat, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Islamic, University Bahawalpur, Institute of Managements Sciences Peshawar and Government College University Faisalabad.

The areas of cooperation under he consortium will include facility development, exchange as adjunct facility members, exchange of students and publications joint research project, joint linkages with other international and national organization, joint seminars conference and workshops diploma course on civic human rights education and other programs of mutual interest.
