The most important international conference in the field of mathematics education will be held in July 2016 at the University of Hamburg guest. The 13th Mathematics Teaching World Conference (13th International Congress on Mathematical Education) will be held on the campus of the University and in the adjacent Congress Center.
The congress will expect to be approximately 4,000 Mathematikdidaktikerinnen mathematics and educationalists from all over the world. They will discuss aspects of a week of teaching and learning of mathematics in schools and universities.

The coordinator of the application of the Faculty of Education, psychology, behavioral science, Prof. Dr. Gabriele Kaiser, adds: “Given the unfortunately still a lack of interest by young people in the subjects in mathematics, natural sciences, we need modern forms of teaching and learning of mathematics . With real implications for environmental and engineering activities and playful or practical way we can inspire more young people to mathematics. The congress will provide a significant boost here. ”
